FAQ’S

    • The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions about your background, current concerns, and what brings you to therapy. This is also a moment where you can ask questions and we can work together to develop a treatment plan. Treatment plans can be revised based on response to treatment.

  • I provide 50 minute therapy sessions. However, this can change based on need.

    • I will always have clients come to sessions weekly starting off. As we progress through your therapeutic journey we will jointly decide if we should go to every 2 weeks or once per month sessions.

    • Therapy is very individualized and how many sessions it may take to see progress is very dependent on the individual, their presenting concerns, and motivation to implement changes outside of the therapeutic environment. I discourage clients from putting a timeline on healing and mental wellness. Just like physical exercise, mental wellness is a practice and takes time to build strong coping skills that are sustainable.

    • I currently do not take insurance at this time. But hope to be paneled with insurance in the future.

  • I completely understand how therapy can feel like a significant financial investment, and it’s a valid question. The cost of private pay therapy reflects more than just the 50-minute session—it also covers the extensive training, credentials, ongoing education, and behind-the-scenes work that therapists do to provide safe, ethical, and effective care.

As a private pay therapist, I’m not reimbursed by insurance companies, which means I have the flexibility to offer personalized treatment without restrictions on session length, frequency, or diagnoses. This allows us to focus entirely on what you need—not just what’s covered.

In addition, I invest in clinical supervision, licensing fees, liability insurance, continuing education, and the administrative costs of running a private practice. Choosing to work privately also helps ensure your confidentiality, as insurance companies often require access to clinical records for reimbursement.

That said, I recognize that affordability matters. I strive to offer a limited number of sliding scale spots and am always happy to discuss whether we can find a plan that works for you—or help connect you with other resources if needed. Your mental health is worth the investment, and it’s important to find a provider who feels like the right fit, both clinically and financially.

  • I am currently partnered with Open Path Collective(openpathcollective.org) in which I provide low-cost therapy services ranging between 40-70 dollars per 50 minute session.

In addition to this, I am partnered with The Battle Within Frontline Therapy Network, a non-profit organization that is specific forfirst responders and military members that pays for 6 free therapy sessions.

Frontline Therapy Network is free to the client and the organization pays the therapists via donations from private benefactors, so there is no out of pocket expenses for the client, unless the client wants to continue working with the current therapist after the 6th session, in which the client will then pay the full service rate.

Last, I am on Give An Hour (giveanhour.org). It is another non-profit organization that provides pro bono services to first responders. I have limited slots for my pro-bono services.

    • You can reach out through the [Contact Form / Email / Phone Number] to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. This gives us a chance to connect, answer any questions, and determine if we're a good fit to work together.

  • My regular rate is $130.00 per 50 minute session.

  • Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. What you share in session is private and protected by law. There are a few exceptions, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if abuse of a child, elder, or dependent adult is disclosed. I will always discuss these limits with you.
